For this spot the client wanted to show the kids imagination, showing them in different imaginary situations. These kids were shot against chroma. The clouds is a matte painting separated into stills to create a feel of depth, I created some underlying clouds in the blender smoke simulation and created some particles. In the space scene I had to replace the face with the face of the boy. The space suite only comes in one size. (L) All the comps were done in Autodesk Flame. Shannan Taylor did all the Matte Paintings and the falling hat for the climbing scene.
This was a pitch I did with Director Jonathan Cohen. It was shot in separate parts and stitched together in Flame. The 3D smoke was done by Sphere animation and the water by Monster Studios. All the other 3D, leaves, ice cream and debris was made with blender. www.blender3d.org
